Commemorative coins are attractive and valuable keepsakes. They may be official currency but they are not usually used as such. Commemorative coins are produced for many different occasions, which are selected by the Federal Government. If an event is unique, then its commemorative coin is also unique. The quality of the minting and the type of design is what makes commemorative coins so fascinating; they are produced exclusively in limited editions. The thing that all commemorative coins have in common is that they are extremely popular gifts – and ultimately ones of lasting value.
The commemorative coins produced in the Hamburg Mint are available from the Bundesministerium
der Finanzen. |
